The wine is a beautiful golden straw color with a bright yellow tinge. Medium bodied, with aromas of pear, apple, and spice. This is complimented by integrated oak nuances, rich in vanilla and allspice. There is a slight mineral quality, along with, butterscotch and a sweet oak spice. A creamy mouth-feel and lengthy acid make for a drinkable wine with excellent aging potential. Sur lie aging has lent an attractive yeasty component that blends seamlessly with the round fruit flavors. Generous acidity gives this wine a long, clean finish and great balance.
