Bright ruby-red. Currant, minerals and flowers on the nose. Sweet in the middle but not yet as precise or expressive as the merlot. Boasts strong fruit but comes across as a bit youthfully medicinal at present. This offers very good ripeness but the tannins seem a bit dry.
